Rescued off the street together, with no way to locate their previous home or people, these brothers -- Frederick and Almanzo -- are older kittens (but still less than one year old). These two seem to have it all: confidence, friendliness, playfulness, good health, beauty... Why they ended up fending for themselves outdoors is anyone's guess at this point. When we got them, through a rescue colleague who wanted us to take them, their coats were a bit dirty from living outside, but they weren't spooked at all by us and settled in easily to a spare bathroom (set up nice and cozy) in one of our foster homes for several days while they recuperated from their difficult (though we think possibly brief) experience as strays. And of course, we did of all the normal care you'd expect to have to do for strays, like flea treatments, worming, combing, etc.... But they were most appreciative of the great food, cushy beds, wonderful fun of playing with the kitty tease and many other toys, exploring and running around inside their foster home, and being held and petted by our volunteers. In short, they went from nothing to everything, in their eyes... except a forever home together. That's where you come in... the very lucky adopter/s who get this pair. And while we will be happy when they finally get the home they deserve, we will be a bit envious of you, too! These are truly great cats, so step forward soon if you are interested in adopting them. They are now neutered, up to date with vaccinations, tested, and microchipped -- they are all set to go to a wonderful home together.
