Winifred came from the Fremont shelter, pulled at a about 3 days old along with a mother and kittens. Winifred's "mom" was Niki, though Winifred (whose original name was Triumph) was actually a tiny orphan simply added into Niki's litter in the shelter at about 1-2 days old. (Dot, Mini-Matisse, and Tip were the kittens actually born to Niki. They were a few days older than Winifred, but Winifred became their littermate.)
