Aladdin is an extremely friendly cat who loves people and loves to play. He came into the shelter in a trap, and looks a little beat up, but anyone who meets him will know he is as people-friendly as they come. He loves human attention, will follow you around, let you hold him upside down, and even walk on a harness and leash! He is extremely affectionate and meows for attention and petting.
Aladdin has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which is common among male cats who have been neutered at a later age. He is otherwise healthy, strong, with no medical problems. Most FIV-positive cats live normal, healthy lives -- and that is just what Aladdin is doing! FIV is not easily transmitted among cats (and never to other species), requiring a deep bite wound for infection -- so FIV cats may live with non-FIV cats in peaceful, indoor-only multi-cat households. For more about FIV, see the Stanford Cat Network's FIV information (click here).
